Six years

Today, Tuesday, is a perfect day in Como:  blue sky, light breeze.  The kind of day that makes you happy just to be walking around.  This morning at 9:45 a.m., I looked down at the receipt I had just signed, and realized it was September 11th.  I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing on that sunny Tuesday morning, 6 years ago.  Do you?

Yes, and it still makes me cry just remembering it.

I remember too. I was in grad school and had just finished a meeting with my adviser. I just saw a documentary on A&E about the second wave of victims from that day - those who are having respiratory and cancer problems from working and volunteering there without protection or warning. It's very sad.

The day in Como sounds lovely. I'll have to go back and spend some more time there...
