I don't regularly watch The Office, even though I like Steve Carell, think that John Krasinski is adorable, and generally find it funny when I do watch it. But while trying to find the season finale on NBC.com, I saw an earlier episode in which Michael Scott (Steve Carell) is preparing to leave, well, The Office, and move to Colorado. One of his cohorts, a woman named Phyllis, holds up an enormous red mitten (still on the needles) and says to him, "It's a going away present, so your hands won't get cold. It's almost done, but you can't get them wet, and they can't be dry-cleaned either-- you have to hand wash without water, wring dry gently and use a hairdryer on cool." [Pause] He replies, "Sounds great!"
Haha! I should have given the same instructions to my sister; maybe then she wouldn't have felted the baby sweater I made for my nephew.
