If you have time for a side trip, I suggest you stop in Zibello and visit the "Boutique dei salumi e della carne" right on the main (I guess only too!) square, under the ancient porticoed building. Right beside it there is also a good reasurant, Leon d'Oro: not as famous as La Buca but still very good. At Boutique, I suggest you purchase their brand mortadella, pretty unique in being wrapped in pork skin, fully artisanal and wonderful, as well as the excellent spalla cruda.


Your photographs are beautiful. The combination of sheep and kids playing soccer is really heartwarming for some reason.
